BCNAA Greensboro Chapter Scholarship

Purpose: The BCNAA Greensboro Chapter Scholarship Fund awards scholarships to current Bennett Juniors and/or Seniors to encourage them to continue their education and pursue their passions, by providing them with the financial support they need to overcome the challenges of additional academic related expenses.  

Criteria: The BCNAA Greensboro Chapter Scholarship Fund  will be awarded to a current Junior and/or Senior who has demonstrated outstanding academic achievement, exhibited financial need, and expressed a strong interest in completing their education. The selection committee will evaluate candidates based on these criteria and select the most deserving recipients.

  1. To be considered for this award, the student must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, in good academic standing and demonstrate financial need through the scholarship applications.
  2. The student must provide a 500-word statement of:
    “Who you are and What are your plans after Bennett College?”
  3. The student must provide a letter of recommendation from an advisor, counselor, or professor.
    “Why should this student be considered for the scholarship?”
  4. If awarded, the student must provide proper documentation to fund the awarded expense. (Monies will be sent directly to the organization or Bennett College.)

 

Deadline: Students should submit a scholarship application on the form provided by the BCNAA- Greensboro Chapter of Bennett College by Friday, March 15, 2024.

Award Date: Scholarships will be tentatively awarded on Friday, March 29, 2024.

Award Amount: Up to 5 scholarships will be awarded at $300 each.

Renewal: This scholarship is NOT renewable. Previous scholarship recipients cannot re-apply.
